Scanning has commenced

We have boxes and boxes of photographs.  We have boxes and boxes of FRAMED photographs.  Assuming I ever move from this house - I do not want to move all of those.  Factor into this the problem I have letting go of emotionally charged items.  (Remember, I have boxes of letters from the 1980s.)  It seemed like a good idea to digitize the photographs.  

If you are young, this idea might seem odd.  Once upon a time, we only could record images on film (negatives) that we would then print onto paper.  (Do I have binders of negatives, you ask?  Did you really need to ask that?)

So, I did some research and bought a scanner.  I used to have one before Australia.  That scanner CAME with software to color correct old images.  My new scanner did not.  So, before I go much further in this process, I think I need to find some software.

That dress was blue- or aqua.  

Hmmmm - tried Picsart (below).  That won't work.  Maybe there isn't enough information left in the original image.  I could convert eveything to black and white.  It did make me look like a subtly different person.


Here's black and white with the photo editor on my laptop.  Might need to lighten the skin tone.

Should anyone care to weigh-in, you can see I have pretty sizable ears.  Thanks!

Musings on Lost Mothers

Confession

I've got a new boyfriend.  Landon.  He's going into the 5th grade next year.  I'm not sure if I'm cheating on my husband or my son. We meet at the pool.  As soon as I arrives, he's beside me asking "Do you want to dive off the board with me?" Absolutely, Landon.  Absolutely.   Zupe stopped playing with me 2 years ago.  If I swim up to him, he points me to the nearest ladder.  But, Landon... "Want to do a cannonball this time?"   "Let's run up to the edge and dive in!" And, he's so charming.  "How old ARE YOU?"  "Did you sleep OK last night? You look tired."
