Haunted House in Sidney, Ohio.  Pretty lousy photo - but creepy because of it.  Zupe loved the experience and we went through the house 4 or 5 times.

 OK.  It didn't take me an entire year to compose this.  Most of a year, sure.  But, less than 12 full months.   And, I think I've found a title for the blog.  Well, something about Tripping to School.  It doesn't make a whole lot of sense on its own, but refers to the blessed 12 minutes I get to myself each day as I drive home from dropping my son off to catch the bus to his new school.  At the beginning of the year it was even more miraculous because our district superintendent hadn't organized the neighboring district to provide transportation (to yet a third district!) and so I had a 30 minute drive for contemplation and soaking in the scenery.  Now I have less transportation expense but less private time.   Anyway, in keeping with this inspired title (the school title not the Post 2 title - which is way weak), I will be using this blog to record those random thoughts and inspiring views. The Lost Plot by Genevieve Cogman

 "The gaslight flickered, making her look even more like a barely preserved corpse than before.  She was thin enough that, in her heavy black dress, she resembled a marionette from the sort of Punch and Judy show that ended in a zombie apocalypse." While the story starts with vampires, and here makes alusions to zombies, it really centers on dragon politics in a mobbed up 1920's -esque New York.  Irene is forced into the role of mob boss.  Great fun.
